We are passionate about involving residents to help us improve our services and support neighbourhoods. We understand that people are busy, that is why we have developed a range of involvement opportunities for you to choose from.

Your views matter to us. Your involvement helps us to improve the way we design and deliver good quality homes and services.

  • Tenants’ CommitteeRead More

    Tenants’ Committee scrutinises all major decisions affecting policies and services to tenants. A leaseholder is also represented on the Committee.

    Meetings are usually on Thursday’s at 12.30am at the SLH offices in Kendal. If you are interested in joining then please contact community@southlakeshousing.co.uk

    This is our way for you to share your views with us digitally from the comfort of your own home. Our online surveys let you have your say whenever and wherever suits you. This is the ideal way to get involved if you don’t have the time to attend meetings.

    This is a digital consultation channel that recognises that more and more customers are transacting with us online. We understand that not everyone can commit to attending regular meetings if you have a busy lifestyle and this group will allow our customers to interact with us at a time that is convenient for them.

    This group is for tenants, leaseholders, members of the community and is run by the Customer Engagement team at South Lakes Housing and monitored Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.

  • Scrutiny GroupsRead More

    The focus of a scrutiny Group is to provide the board assurance over compliance with the regulator’s consumer standards. The group focuses on two or three scrutiny activities in the year.

  • Complaints PanelRead More

    This panel meets and reviews complaints where a customer has requested for a stage three complaint, also monitors complaints performance, and identifies any improvements or policy improvements.

    Any tenant or leaseholder who is willing to give their views on the services they receive is invited to become involved in a focus group.

  • Become a ShareholderRead More

    The SLH Board has operated a closed Shareholding Membership Scheme since 2018 and admits only new Board Directors. The Board prefers to engage residents in better and more regular ways, the annual report and accounts which is approved at the Annual General Meeting of shareholders is published on the SLH website for anyone to view.
