SLH wants to enable as many tenants and leaseholders as possible to get involved in influencing decisions about services and there are lots of different ways in which you can have your say.
Tenants’ Committee scrutinises all major decisions affecting policies and services to tenants. A leaseholder is also represented on the Committee.

Community Facebook Group
The South Lakes Housing Community Facebook Group is for tenants, leaseholders, members of the community and is run by the Customer Engagement team at South Lakes Housing and monitored Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. The purpose of the group is to provide our customers with the opportunity to have their say and engage with South Lakes Housing and other customers. It is a digital consultation channel that recognises that more and more customers are transacting with us online. We understand that not everyone can commit to attending regular meetings if you have a busy lifestyle and this group will allow our customers to interact with us at a time that is convenient for them. On this site we will provide group members with the opportunity have their say and provide them with the opportunity to contribute and influence to help us understand their views on housing and the services we provide. It ensures that the customer’s view is supported and gives the opportunity for tenants and leaseholders to provide feedback. Regular content will be posted to stimulate discussion and to get feedback.
Any tenant or leaseholder who is willing to give their views on the services they receive is invited to become involved. Members select from a ‘menu’ of involvement options, including; mystery shopping, scrutiny panel, complaints panel or estate walkabouts.
SLH supports existing and new residents’ associations with things like training, grants, advisory support and access to office equipment. If you are interested in setting up a residents’ association then please contact email@example.com
Become a Shareholder
The SLH Board reviewed its Shareholding Scheme in September 2018 and agreed to ‘freeze’ membership and admit only new Board Directors. This will be reviewed alongside the Social Housing Green Paper debate about accountability and active engagement.
