South Lakes Housing is delighted to return as a local sponsor for the 10th Anniversary Kendal Colour Dash, once again showing our support for the much-valued local charity, St John’s Hospice. Our continued involvement highlights our commitment to supporting community initiatives and making a positive difference for local causes.
Team SLH loved the event so much last year, we decided to sign up to become a local sponsor and host our very own colour station in 2026. This promises to add even more vibrancy, energy, and a sense of unity to the event, bringing people across Kendal together for a memorable and colourful day.
This year’s Kendal Colour Dash holds particular significance, as 2026 marks the 40th anniversary of the opening of St John’s Hospice. The event will serve as a special celebration of the hospice’s longstanding support and care for the community.

Alison Ramsay, Head of People & Culture, who played a key role in organising Team SLH at Kendal Colour Dash last year and joined colleagues and their families in fancy dress for the event, shared her thoughts:

This year’s route will feature more colour stations than ever before, offering a joyful and rainbow-filled experience for participants of all ages.
