South Lakes Housing at Kendal Pride 2025: Celebrating Inclusion in the Heart of the Lakes

Proud to be supporting Kendal Pride

From 13–15 June, Kendal came alive with colour, music and community spirit as it hosted Kendal Pride 2025. This year’s celebration was a joyful expression of LGBTQIA+ visibility and belonging—and South Lakes Housing (SLH) was proud to be part of it for the very first time.

A Weekend to Remember

The Pride Village at Abbott Hall on Saturday was the heart of the festivities, buzzing with live performances, community stalls, and family-friendly fun. From unicorn races to sweet-jar guessing games, there was something for everyone.

SLH’s First Pride Presence

This year marked SLH’s debut at Kendal Pride, and colleagues celebrated the event by hosting our stall, engaging with the community, and representing our values of inclusion and diversity.

“We were incredibly proud to be part of Kendal Pride last weekend, celebrating inclusivity, diversity, and equality alongside our vibrant community,” said Alison Ramsay, Head of People & Culture. “Having a stand at the event allowed us to connect not only with incredible individuals but also with our valued customers and partners who share our commitment to fostering a welcoming and supportive environment. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, and this event reinforced the importance of working together to create a more inclusive world—both within SLH and beyond. We’re honoured to have played a part in such a meaningful celebration.”

Looking Ahead

Kendal Pride 2025 was more than a celebration—it was a statement. A commitment to making Kendal a place where everyone feels seen, safe and supported. With new partnerships forming and plans already underway for next year, we’re excited to keep building on this momentum.

Thank you to everyone who made this year’s Pride unforgettable. We can’t wait to do it all again.
