Residents and colleagues across SLH communities came together last week to support 35 years of Macmillan Coffee Mornings, raising over £800 for Macmillan Cancer Support—a charity that provides vital help to people living with cancer.
These heartwarming events, held in various locations, were filled with cakes, drinks, raffle prizes, and most importantly, community spirit.
❤️ A heartfelt THANK YOU to:
- Everyone at Gallowbarrow in Kendal, who joined our Macmillan Coffee Afternoon for an afternoon of laughter, delicious treats, and generous giving—raising around £100.
- All the volunteers at Birthwaite in Windermere, whose incredible baking and raffle donations helped raise over £500 at their Coffee Morning.
- Colleagues at Bridge Mills in Kendal, whose Coffee Morning and Bake Off raised over £199 and created a space to share personal experiences with cancer and learn more about the invaluable support Macmillan provides.
These events not only raised funds but also brought people together to reflect, connect, and show solidarity with those affected by cancer.
