With extensive experience of procurement across diverse sectors, David Hall joins Cumbria Housing Partners as Procurement Manager.
At a time when social housing sector faces challenges in a number of areas, Cumbria Housing Partners is looking to develop a shared procurement and commercial hub for the benefit of member landlords and the communities they work in. The group already help members save time and money by buying materials and sourcing contractors for repair and maintenance work on homes across the county and recognises there are further opportunities.
Starting with Northern Electric in 1987, David has worked in procurement for over 28 years, successfully creating savings for businesses by establishing procurement teams and routes to procurement.
David says “I will be working to help the partners fully utilise professional procurement methods. Together we will be looking to extend current areas of procurement and develop best practice to achieve more cost savings and improve efficiencies. This new role offers an exciting opportunity for me to help shape the way in which Cumbria Housing Partners is looking to develop.”
Lesley Dixon, CHP Director says ” Cumbria Housing Partners believes it can achieve more by working together. There are many other collaborative buying opportunities that exist, which are not yet co-ordinated across the member landlords. We welcome David in his role which will help us identify these, bring them together so member landlords can make further savings to reinvest locally, to improve the lives and futures of people living in our communities.”
