An exciting opportunity has arisen to become an Non-Executive Board Director for South Lakes Housing.
South Lakes Housing is an independent Housing Association and has ambitious plans for its future. We are looking to appoint a forward-thinking Non-Executive Director to join our Board to help drive our ambitions. We are particularly looking for an individual with a high level of expertise in finance and/or treasury or housing development/construction.
As a Housing Association with charitable objectives, we own and manage just over 3,000 homes across and around the South Lakeland area. We work in partnership with Local Authorities and other agencies to contribute to the well-being of the communities we serve.
With a turnover of over £16M and a strong balance sheet, we aim to use our capacity to develop additional new homes and investing in greening our current homes and transforming our business to ensure we remain resilient.
SLH operates in a strongly regulated environment and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of governance. We are also keen to improve the balance of gender and ethnic diversity on the Board.

The position requires a time commitment of approximately 1-1.5 days per month and is remunerated at £3,000 per year with reasonable expenses reimbursed.
