Everyone is welcome at SLH
So what can we do to help?
Here are a few examples that we are proud of……
We offer support and signposting on managing finances, accessing benefits and obtaining support for health and wellbeing within our local communities.
So far in 2025/26 we have supported more than 90 residents to secure almost £134,000 in benefits and financial help.
We have a Resident Support Fund which can help when the unexpected happens and we work closely with Citizens Advice who provide more in-depth support.
As we approach the Winter we’re here to help if you’re worried about keeping your home warm or handling some of those extra festive bills. Please contact our Customer Hub who will connect you to the Income Team to help or click on the links below for more information:

How we are tacking Anti-social behaviour (ASB) & hate crime
Since the start of April this year, we have opened 67 Anti-Social Behaviour cases with the issues reported to us ranging from allegations of drug use to noise nuisance with a large number of cases also highlighting concerns around mental health issues.
We continue to tackle anti-social behaviour by working closely with residents and local partners, including the council and police and we attend multi agency meetings across a number of areas such as Community Cohesion and Community Safety, playing our part in helping to create and sustain safe communities for our residents.
Whilst as an organisation we will always do everything we can to work with residents to resolve issues of Anti-Social Behaviour, there are always a small number of cases where no level of support, advice or warnings to a complaint subject can bring around a change in behaviour.
In a recent serious case we have been successful in regaining possession of a property. This was following persistent issues which were having a huge impact on the wider community including alleged drug dealing, noise nuisance and issues with poor property condition. Despite warnings and working in partnership with the police an other agencies, the residents did not change their behaviour. This ultimately led to a family being evicted from their home through the courts and we now hope that the community will be able to go back to having peaceful enjoyment of their homes following the period of disruption.
Our teams also oversee communal inspections, cleaning and grounds maintenance services.
As we enter the Winter Season (November – February) our Grounds Maintenance Contractors, Alben Landscapes Ltd and J R Vegetation Ltd are out and about keeping the grounds looking their best across our communities.
Our trusted partners were appointed following consultation with some of our residents in 2024 and can be seen litter picking, cutting grass, collecting leaves, pruning hedges and shrubs and weeding flower beds and borders.
To find out the frequency of their visits and the areas that they are responsible for, visit our grounds maintenance page and look out for updates on our social media.
