Garages

We have several garages in South Lakeland available for rent for new and existing South Lakes Housing customers/members of the public.  To be fair to everyone we operate a wait list as demand is high for garages. To apply please complete our application form and you will be added to our waiting list if you are successful.

Your request will be sent directly to our Customer Services Team who will acknowledge that your application has been added to our waiting list within 5 working days.

We offer garages to rent to customers who have clear accounts. If you are in arrears on an account held with South Lakes Housing, talk to us as once it is cleared you are able to apply to rent a garage.

Once you have submitted your application form online, your request will be sent directly to our Customer Services Team who will acknowledge that your application has been added to our waiting list within 5 working days.

Your details are held on our waiting list for 12 months and garages will be allocated to the first person on the list based on their desired location.

The cost to rent a garage is £12.15 per week for South Lakes Housing tenants and £14.58 per week for non-tenants, a one-month advance payment will be required before your agreement is issued. These are the current charges as of April 2024 and they may be subject to change.  All charges will be confirmed when we make you an offer.
