If the text on this website is too small or too large for you to read comfortably, you can change its size. You can either do this by clicking on the icons at the top right of every page on the site or you can change the settings within your web browser
 
The way you do this differs from browser to browser. Instructions are given below for the most popular:

Microsoft Internet Explorer

If you are using Internet Explorer,  the default font size is automatically set to 'Medium'. To change the size, follow these steps:
  1. Select View from the menu
  2. On the dropdown menu that appears select Text Size. 
  3. Select your preferred font size 'Largest', 'Larger', 'Medium', 'Smaller' and 'Smallest'.

Firefox (Mozilla)

 
To change the size in Firefox follow these steps:
  1. Select View from the menu at the top 
  2. Select Text Size.
  3. Choose your preferred option: 'Increase', 'Decrease' and 'Normal'.

Firefox also allows the text size to be changed with keyboard shortcuts, which are listed below:
  • Increase the size
    • Press the CTRL key and the PLUS sign key [+]
  • Decrease the text size
    • Press the CTRL key and the MINUS sign key [-]
  • Default size
    • Press the CTR: key and the ZERO sign key [0]
  • View the page at Full Screen: 
    • Press the F1

Netscape Navigator

 
If you are using Netscape Navigator the text size is altered via keyboard shortcuts:
  • Increase the size
    • Press the CTRL key and the PLUS sign key [+]
  • Decrease the text size
    • Press the CTRL key and the MINUS sign key [-]
  • Default size
    • Press the CTR: key and the ZERO sign key [0]
  • View the page at Full Screen: 
    • Press the F1

Apple Mac

 
For a computer using a Macintosh operating system:
  • Increase the size
    • Press the CMD key and the PLUS sign key [+]
  • Decrease the size
    • Press the CMD key and the MINUS sign key [-]
  • Default size
    • Press the CMD key and the ZERO sign key [0]
  • View the page at Full Screen: 
    • Press the F1

Linux

 
For a computer using a Linux operating system:
  • Increase the size
    • Press the CTRL key and the PLUS sign key [+]
  • Decrease the size
    • Press the CTRL key and the MINUS sign key [-]
  • Default size
    • Press the CTRL key and the ZERO sign key [0]
  • View the page at Full Screen: 
    • Press the F1

How to change the text colour in Internet Explorer

 
Internet Explorer 7, 6 or 5
Click on Tools > Internet Options > General > Fonts and choose a different font (eg Times New Roman) as the web page font.
 
To make sure that other people's web pages display in your chosen font, you then need to click the Accessibility button and check the 'Ignore font styles specified on Web pages' box.
 
Internet Explorer 4 
Click on View > Internet Options > General > Fonts > Proportional Font and choose a different font (eg Times New Roman), as the web page font.
 
To make sure that other people's web pages display in your chosen font, you then need to click the Accessibility button and check the 'Ignore font styles specified on Web pages' box.
