Gas Servicing
Why do South Lakes Housing carry out
Annual Gas Service?
South Lakes Housing is responsible for
carrying out the Annual Gas Service to all appliances
belonging to South Lakeland District Council in their
properties.
This service checks the safety of the
appliance and is important for the health and safety of our
tenants, as faulty appliances can emit harmful carbon monoxide
fumes or natural gas can escape and cause an explosion. You
and your family could be at risk if these safety checks are not
carried out.
It is vitial that the gas service is
carried out, especially to all of our vunerable tenants who may
have an increased risk of an incident happening.
If there are any specific or
alternative methods of communication or access required,
please contact South Lakes Housing's Trevor Woodward,

We will gladly discuss any
concerns you may have with regard to the gas
service.
As your landlord's agent, we must
comply with Gas Safety Regulations which places the legal duty upon
us to carry out a Annual Gas Service check every 12 months.
