Citizens Advice Bureaux

The Citizens Advice Bureaux situated around the District can all provide assistance and advice with any housing issues you may have. View Citizens Advice Bureaux website.
 

Manna House

Manna House is a Kendal based charity who provide housing advice.   They run drop-in sessions at The Shakespeare Centre in Kendal on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10am - 2pm.  Alternatively, you can contact them on 01539 738560 to arrange an appointment or visit their website: Manna House 

The New Granary Centre

The New Granary Centre is run by Impact Housing Association and based in Ulverston and offers housing advice.  The New Granary Centre is situated at 2 The Weint, Ulverston. They are open Monday to Friday 10.00 am - 12.00 p.m. You can also ring them outside these times to make an appointment.  Their contact telephone number is 01229 583388.
 

Shelter

Shelter is an independent housing advice provider and the largest homelessness charity in the country. Shelter have a housing advice centre in Cumbria where you can receive advice in person, over the phone or by writing to them.

Shelter produce a range of guides which deal with housing problems.  They provide clear, practical advice and list useful organisations.  Most of the guides can be downloaded or single copies ordered free of charge.
 

Connexions

Visit Connexions who provide a youth support service for young people between the ages of 13 and 19.

The National Youth Agency run a youth information website which provides all round information for young people.
