A tenant from Waterside, Kendal, was barred from his home for
three months recently for continuing to act anti-socially despite
warnings about his behaviour. The successful legal action was
taken by South Lakes Housing in partnership with Waterside
residents and the Anti Social Behaviour Unit of Cumbria
Police. The tenant's bad behaviour included using bad
language, alllowing his dog to foul without picking it up, and
playing or permitting music to be played at such volume that it
could be heard outside. The Police joined South Lakes Housing
in urging residents to take a stand against bad behaviour in their
communities. Peter Thomas, Chief Executive of South Lakes
Housing said 'South Lakes Housing is determined to maintain safe
and secure estates for its residents and visitors to its
housing'. If you are worried about anti social behaviour in
your locality, talk to your Housing Officer or call our hotline on
0835 057 0080.
