Tenants' Committee represent the views of tenants on major decisions affecting policies and services. A leaseholder is represented on the Committee. The Committee appoints tenants to be Board Directors. The Board consists of 4 Tenants, 4 Independents and 4 Council nominees.

Tenants' Committee meet one week in advance of Board meetings to ensure that tenants views are taken into account when the Board meet to debate items.

Tenants' Committee constitution

The Tenants' Committee meets every six weeks. Here are the dates for the  meetings in 2013:

• Thursday 10th January
• Thursday 14th February
• Thursday 21st March
• Thursday 2nd May
• Thursday 20 June
• Thursday 29 August
• Thursday 10 October
• Thursday 21 November

The meetings are held in the Windermere Suite, South Lakes Housing, Bridge Mills Business Centre, Stramongate, Kendal at 10.30 am and will normally last for 2 hours.
