Housing Options Study: Your
Home, Your Future
Since SLH was created in 2004, we
have gone on to spend £21 million on installing new kitchens,
bathrooms and heating systems bringing homes up to the Government’s Decent Homes Standard but not every
home has benefited. This special 'one off' funding is now
coming to an end.
South Lakes Housing is working with
SLDC, tenants and leaseholders on a ‘Housing Options
Study’ which will decide on the best way to manage your
homes and sustain the decent homes standards we have achieved long
into the future.
In SLDCs latest newsletter they
have included information for tenants and leaseholders about the
long-term future for their homes. This study will conclude
with a recommendation to SLDC in October 2010 on the future of your
home. If you have any concerns then please speak to any SLH
member of staff, visit us during 20 road shows throughout the
district or contact our free phone number 0800 014 7518 - for you
to ask questions. The free phone is staffed between 9 am and
5 pm. Outside those hours please leave a message and we will
call you back.
Cumbria Choice Choice Based Lettings
The consultation period for the new Cumbria
Choice Scheme ended on 30th April 2010.
The results from the consultation are
now available and include feedback on the questions
asked as well as a selection of the comments received
